I want to practice my world-building and storytelling skills. The OCs in my gallery are from long discarded stories that haven't seen light in years. There's a chance you've seen these guys pop up in my gallery here and there.  Would you help me out by asking the characters some questions so I can practice developing a solid understanding of the world they live in? I feel like it's not formed enough to make a decent story out of it.

You can ask any question you'd like, as long as it's not too controversial or nsfw. Feel free to ask things like where they live, what their motivations are, what scares them, family or specie details, etc.

The characters you can ask are:

Zoshua, a tracker 8 facts 'bout your OC: Zoshua

Grehal, a soldier Best friends

Oriel, an official 2am

Wyren, a soldier Waiting.

"Kitty", a criminal She's the one

Martell, Zoshua's father and a tailor His daddy has a name now

Jo, an odd fox with a floppy ear. Trying to survive in a harsh tundra with her companion Hubbie. Got yer bone. *** Inktober 25: Ship

If you are confused and have any questions, please let me know. :) This journal will close when there are enough questions, or when no one shows interest.

Does anyone here know how to use Paypal? I was curious about setting up an account so I didn't know how easily others are using the site/app. Is receiving money easy? Would I need to use a business account to process a payment? Have you ever had any difficulties with it? Would you recommend it?

Also, I'm briefly streaming to finish a thing I started yesterday. Beware of the lag, it's back! :(

Edit: Streaming briefly! picarto.tv/AlmyNol

After struggling with Picarto for days at a time, I finally got it working! :D Turns out the problem was indeed my poor, poor internet speed. I ended up having to watch a tutorial on how to fine tune the settings to work for horrible internet. And good golly, am I grateful I did. I shoulda just done that in the first place! But I'm not known for being a critical thinker. :dummy:

Note to self: Tutorial first, struggle later.

Anyway! That means I'll be streaming again soon, quite possibly tonight. A test doodle, just to make sure I'm not losing my mind.

Edit: Spending some time doodling. Join if you'd like. aggie.io/qn7dobjoi3

Hellooooo. :D Hope you all have been doing well.

Replacing the old journal has been on my to do list for the longest time, so here we are.

This year so far has been a glorious dumpster fire, but I suppose it won't hurt to pretend to be optimistic? Regardless of what happens this year, I want to focus on change. Changing my attitude and my work and drawing habits. There were a lot of goals that I tried to achieve last year, only to once again NOT meet the goals. I realized that talking just isn't enough to hype myself into being productive. Sooo, I figured the only thing I will do this year is just shut up and draw.

That's it. Nothing else. Whatever happens happens. If that's not even something I can do, then heck, I just have to revaluate the whole deviantart thing.

I quickly fell in love with aggie.io, so I'll be lurking there to loosen up with sloppy, quick doodles. There's a high chance I'll be frequenting the site more often, as the school I work at has just closed for the next 2 weeks.

That aside, I hope you all are doing alright. Please take care of yourselves in these trying times.

Hey! Hope you all are doing well!

Usually I upload weekly sketches once a month, but I've been pretty dead lately. Nothing has changed, rl wise... Dog got sick, got better, work is still work, and that's about it.

I just wanted you to know that I AM still drawing, and slowly filling up my sketchbooks with doodles. But that's the thing. They're just scribbles. I've doodled too many things that are not really legible enough to post here. Right now my sketchbook is filling up with people, older OCs that have never been introduced, and birds, all that are waaaay off in terms of structure.

When I uploaded the numbat sketch I realized how little I knew about drawing animals, even cartoony ones. Just wanted to take a step back and tackle animals in a more knowledgeable manner. Not gonna say I will improve immensely, but I want to start making progress in understanding forms and shapes a little better. There will still be an upload this weekend of what's already finished, though. I mean, I could upload what I'm doing to stash or scraps, but scribbles aren't usually well accepted here.

Inktober will still probably happen, depending on if anyone shows interest.
